Orthopedic Correction
Face Mask Therapy
Used mainly in growing children with underdeveloped upper jaws (maxillary deficiency). A face mask applies forward and downward traction to stimulate maxillary growth and correct Class III malocclusion.
Head gear Therapy
Designed to control excessive growth of the upper jaw or to move upper molars backward. It is commonly used in children with Class II malocclusion to guide jaw development and improve bite alignment.
Myofunctional Correction
Twin Block Therapy
A removable functional appliance consisting of upper and lower bite blocks. It encourages forward growth of the lower jaw in children with Class II malocclusion, improving jaw relationship and profile.
Expansion Appliances
Rapid Maxillary Expansion (RME)
A fixed appliance that applies strong forces to quickly widen the upper jaw by separating the mid-palatal suture. It is usually done in growing patients to correct crossbites and create space for crowded teeth.
Slow Maxillary Expansion (SME)
Similar to RME but applies lighter, gradual forces over a longer period. It widens the upper arch with better tissue adaptation and less discomfort compared to rapid expansion.
